Pirelli na tweede test: "We liggen licht voor op schema"

Pirelli heeft deze week de tweede Formule 1-test ter voorbereiding op 2011 op Paul Ricard afgerond. De nieuwe bandenleverancier is zeer te spreken over de gang van zaken. Pirelli-motorsportbaas Paul Hembery geeft aan opnieuw goede vooruitgang geboekt te hebben.

We zijn zeer tevreden over onze progressie waardoor we zelfs licht voor op schema liggen. We hebben een ontwikkelingsprogramma afgewerkt dat ons inzicht verschafte over de prestaties van onze prototype banden onder verschillende omstandigheden, in diverse bochten en bij uiteenlopende snelheden. Wat we tot nu toe zien is veelbelovend en de duidelijke en precieze feedbackvan Nick Heidfeld en de verscheidene configuraties van Paul Ricard hebben daar enorm bij geholpen, aldus Hembery.
