Laatste bandentest voor 2017 van start gegaan

Bandenleverancier Pirelli is samen met Ferrari, Red Bull Racing en Mercedes begonnen aan de laatste testdag van dit jaar. Max Verstappen komt vanmiddag in actie met de RB12. Kimi Raikkonen rijdt voor Ferrari, Lewis Hamilton en Pascal Wehrlein testen namens Mercedes en Daniel Ricciardo neemt in de ochtend de werkzaamheden namens Red Bull Racing voor zijn rekening. Deze test dient als validatie voor de banden voor 2017.

Ik vind het op deze auto's juist ook al wel mooi.
Er straalt wel iets 'ruigs' vanaf.

    Ze zijn wel erg breed he... Op deze wagens vind ik ze niet echt mooi staan, hopelijk passen ze beter bij de looks van die van volgend jaar.

      Dat mag.
      Ik vind het er een beetje uit zien as bij een puppy, waar de poten en de kop te groot zijn.
      Alleen bij een puppy staat dat klunzig en lief.
      Bij een F1 auto alleen klunzig.

      Maar zoals REMKODJ al zegt zal het volgend jaar wel beter bij de looks passen.
      En ieder heeft natuurlijk ook zijn eigen smaak (gelukkig)

      Logisch dat de banden nog niet echt ogen t.o.v. achtervleugel en bodywork. De auto van 2017 krijgt een totaal ander look. Neem bijvoorbeeld de achtervleugel en de luchtinlaat die komen beide een stuk lager te liggen in 2017, plus het bodywork zelf (sidepots) wordt een stuk breder waardoor het geheel een stuk agressiever er uit komt te zien.

      Klopt Dutchtreath.

      En soms is het ook een kwestie van wennen.
      Als we een jaar naar die auto's die hier op de foto staan hadden zitten kijken en
      nu in 1 keer de auto's van dit jaar zouden zien dan had ik waarschijnlijk hetzelfde gezegd.

      Het is iedere keer weer wennen maar op een bepaald moment weet je niet beter. Ooit vond men bv de smalle achtervleugel niks en recentelijk het geluid - maar ook daarvan is het geklaag verstomd.
      Het enige waar niet aan te wennen viel waren die afschuwelijke stofzuiger- en penisneuzen uit seizoen 2014.

      Volgens mij heeft dat te maken met de downforce die ze moeten simuleren op de auto voor de banden. De RedBull en Mercedes kunnen dat waarschijnlijk veranderen met wat andere afstellingen of 'een vleugeltje hier, een vleugeltje daar'. Ferrari kiest er voor om een speciaal hiervoor gemaakte vleugel op te bouwen. Kan ook.

    Ik ben eigenlijk wel benieuwd wat voor rondetijden ze nu halen met deze banden. Maar die tijden worden niet vrijgegeven geloof ik.

    Dat men tegenwoordig enthousiast raakt van undercuts vind ik veelzeggend.
    Ik zou graag per seizoen twee races zien waarin helemaal niet van banden gewisseld mag worden. Puur voor het contrast.

    Hoe dan ook we zijn ver af van de mooiste F1 auto's ooit, en dat heeft vooral met onderlinge verhoudingen te maken. Ze zien eruit als een meisje met brede heupen en smalle schouders. Het is ongelooflijk hoe lang de auto's anno nu zijn in vergelijking met begin jaren 80.

      Maar dat is natuurlijk ook persoonlijk. Ikzelf vind de auto's van nu mooier dan jouw voorbeelden. Ze hadden iets korter gemogen, maar dat hele korte vind ik niet mooi. Dus allemaal persoonlijk.
