Williams levert volgend jaar hydraulica aan kleine teams

Het team van Williams vertolkt volgend jaar ook de rol van leverancier. De Britse renstal is door enkele kleine teams gevraagd om de hydraulica te verzorgen en heeft daarmee ingestemd. Het is nog onduidelijk welke teams klanten van Williams worden.

De internationale autosportbond FIA regelde voor de nieuwe toetreders van dit jaar, Hispania Racing, Virgin Racing en Lotus F1 Racing, Xtrac als leverancier van hydraulica. Het geleverde systeem is echter zeer onbetrouwbaar en Lotus F1 Racing liet de gedachten al naar een eigen systeem gaan. Williams biedt mogelijk uitkomst, zo meldt Motorline.cc. Technisch directeur Sam Michael: We zijn gevraagd en zijn akkoord gegaan.
