De la Rosa voor contractverlenging afhankelijk van sponsor

Het team van Sauber bevestigde vandaag dat Kamui Koabayshi ook volgend jaar in Zwitserse dienst rijdt. De toekomst van zijn huidige teamgenoot Pedro de la Rosa is nog niet zeker. Sauber zet de Spanjaard in de wachtkamer.

Het Finse Turun Sanomat bericht dat De la Rosa voor een stoeltje bij Sauber voor 2011 afhankelijk is van een sponsor. Er zouden gesprekken gaande zijn met een Spaanse firma die als hoofdsponsor van het team wil fungeren. Dat kan De la Rosa een langer verblijf bij Sauber opleveren. De 39-jarige coureur scoorde dit seizoen tot nu toe zes punten.
