Jost Capito vertrekt alweer bij McLaren-Honda

Jost Capito staat op het punt om te vertrekken bij het team van McLaren. Dat melden diverse media, waaronder Autosport en Sky Sports F1. De aanstaande breuk tussen Capito en McLaren is opvallend, aangezien de Duitser pas op 1 september met zijn werkzaamheden voor de Britse renstal is begonnen.

De positie van Capito is wankel sinds Ron Dennis is weggestuurd als voorzitter en directeur van de McLaren Group. De voormalig motorsportbaas van Volkswagen was door Dennis aangesteld als directeur van McLaren. Capito zou al niet meer betrokken zijn bij de dagelijkse gang van zaken in Woking. McLaren wilde niet reageren op de verhalen rondom Capito.

Een andere bondgenoot van Dennis, directeur Ekrem Sami, heeft het veld al moeten ruimen bij de McLaren Technology Group. Zijn contract is op 29 november reeds ontbonden. Sami werkte bijna veertig jaar nauw samen met Dennis. Zijn plek in het bestuur van de McLaren Technology Group is overgenomen door John Riches, partner bij een Brits advocatenbureau.

      Ik had ergens gelezen dat Capito de functie van Boullier had moeten overnemen in het geval dat Ron Dennis was aangebleven. Dat duidt erop dat Boullier achter de schermen aan de poten van Ron Dennis heeft gezaagd. The French way en niet zonder succes. Dat Ekrem Sami zou moeten vertrekken is na de komst van Brown, zelf een top marketeer, geen verassing.

      OPDEPLANK en dat doet stof opwaaien!
      Ik denk niet dat McLaren volgend jaar bij de top zit! Er zijn veel teveel zaken bezig die niet het F1 team vooruit helpen.

    Ben benieuw hoe McLaren gaat komend seizoen. Een frisse wind kan het team best goed doen. En Zakl Brown komt erg gemotiveerd op me over. Hopelijk hengelt hij snel een hoofdsponsor binnen. En ik hoop dat ze weer een mooie (niet zo grijze muis) livery hebben. Misschien zelfs weer de rode overalls die ze in Senna's tijd hadden.

    Vreemd dat ze iemand als Jost Capito de laan uit sturen.
    Hij heeft een zeer indrukwekkende CV. Een enorme aanwinst voor McLaren.
    Waar zijn ze bij McLaren bang voor?

    Wanneer je aandelen van een bedrijf in handen van Arabische of Chinese investeerders geeft, roep je het onheil over jezelf af.
    Het is vragen om problemen; cultuur en belangen liggen simpelweg veel te ver uit elkaar.
    Dergelijke investeerders zijn een serieuze bedreiging voor de westerse cultuur, want de vraag is : waar houd dit op.

    Niet geheel toevallig dat de gevestigde waarden als Ferrari en Mclaren, ook Williams een moeilijk transitie kennen naar modernere bedrijfsmodellen. Ego's, Dinosaurussen en andere elementen lijken wel steeds opstandig te zijn tegen structurele en vernieuwende bedrijfsmodellen.

    Als je dan kijkt naar RedBull (blijft toch wel een voorbeeld) zijn de grote reuzen toch in hun slaap gebleven.

      @Cavallino, ik weet niet exact waar je met je post op doelt, want je kunt er nog al wat kanten mee uit.
      Maar zoals ik hem begrijp heeft het ontslaan van een kersvers leidinggevende, die zijn sporen reeds ruimschoots verdient heeft en bovendien nog geen eens de kans heeft gekregen om zich te bewijzen, helemaal niets met transitie naar een modern bedrijfsmodel te maken.
      Capito is gewoon de dupe van het feit dat hij door de reeds ontslagen Ron Dennis is aangesteld.
