De Formule 1-winter is aangebroken. Bij de meeste teams hebben de monteurs en engineers vrijaf gekregen tot het nieuwe jaar. Het is ook de tijd om nieuw personeel te werven. De renstallen maken massaal van de mogelijkheid gebruik om op zoek te gaan naar nieuwe medewerkers

Renault spant de kroon, met 34 vacatures. De Franse autofabrikant keerde dit jaar met een eigen fabrieksteam terug in de Formule 1 en is nog druk bezig om het personeelsbestand uit te breiden. Renault probeert de fundering te leggen om in de toekomst successen te boeken.

Kampioen Mercedes heeft vijf technische functies en twee operationele rollen beschikbaar. De Duitse renstal speurt natuurlijk ook nog naar een opvolger voor coureur Nico Rosberg. McLaren (16 vacatures), Force India (15 functies) en Red Bull Racing (2 vacatures) hebben eveneens ruimte voor nieuw personeel.
