Citrix heeft het contract met het team van Red Bull Racing verlengd. De softwarespecialist is al sinds 2007 aan de Oostenrijkse renstal verbonden. Citrix groeit onder de nieuwe verbintenis uit tot innovatiepartner van Red Bull Racing. Het logo van de firma prijkt aan de buitenkant van de cockpit.
Red Bull Racing-teambaas Christian Horner: "Onze samenwerking met Citrix voorziet het team van de mogelijkheid om flexibel en wendbaar te zijn. Het stelt onze engineers in staat om effectief hun werk uit te voeren, ongeacht waar op de wereld zij zich op dat moment bevinden."
"De capaciteit om te innoveren en snel te reageren op veranderingen vormt een cruciaal element van de Formule 1. We zien deze uitgebouwde relatie met Citrix dan ook als uitgelezen kans om onze engineers nog meer te steunen in hun zoektocht naar meer performance voor onze auto's."

Citrix zorgt voor minder auto's op de weg, waarom zou je nog elke dag naar kantoor komen in de 21e eeuw. Goed bedrijf!

Gutierrez gaat een formule E race rijden in Mexico. Met andere woorden: Einde F1?
Gutierrez enters Mexican Formula E race as F1 hopes fade.
Esteban Gutierrez will join the Formula E field for his home race in Mexico City, the promoters have announced.
The former Haas driver will take part in the race on April 1st on a shortened version of the Mexican Grand Prix venue. Gutierrez is the only local driver currently lined up to compete at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez. Who he will drive for has not yet been announced.

The race does not clash with any F1 rounds, falling between the Australian Grand Prix on March 26th and Chinese Grand Prix on April 9th. However it is a strong indication Gutierrez is considering his options outside grand prix racing after being dropped by Haas at the end of last season.

klopt, op de Engelse versie van f1 today wisten ze dit gisteren al te melden.
Verbaasd me niets, de naam Gutierrez hoorde ik niet / nauwelijks vallen in verband met de overgebleven stoeltjes. Geen gemis voor f1 imo.

2e off topic: droogkloot :D When Max Verstappen was told that his business class seat back home from last year's Canadian Grand Prix had been double-booked, and that the only space left was down in economy by the toilets, you could have forgiven him for kicking up a fuss.
But if there is one thing that his team has learned from the Dutchman's arrival as a Formula 1 superstar, it is that his new-found status has not gone to his head.
So instead of moaning about what had happened, Verstappen shrugged his shoulders, realised that there are far more important things in life to get upset about it and got on with it.

Wat een slecht nieuws zeg, denk niet dat Max veel sneller wordt dan komend seizoen, ik werk al 10 jaar met Citrix, ongelooflijk k*t systeem is dat.
