Chassis Red Bull Racing RB13 gehomologeerd

In navolging van Force India, Scuderia Toro Rosso en Haas F1 Team heeft ook Red Bull Racing aangegeven dat het chassis voor de nieuwe auto de verplichte crashtests van de FIA heeft overleefd. Dat tekende UOL Esporte in elk geval op uit de mond van Adrian Newey.

De technisch directeur van Red Bull Technology verklaarde: "We hebben de crashtests doorstaan met de nieuwe auto, het ontwerp is bijna helemaal af en bepaalde onderdelen voor de RB13 zijn reeds in productie."

Red Bull Racing heeft nog niet bekendgemaakt wanneer het de nieuwe auto zal presenteren.

ergens anders las ik dat Newey alleen gezegd heeft dat ze de neus door de crashtest hebben gekregen. Waarvan hij zei dat hij daar blij verrast mee was aangezien die schijnbaar niet altijd zo snel gaat.

    Mooi, maar ben ook wel nieuwsgierig naar de nieuwe livery. Waarschijnlijk zal de lijn van 2016 doorgetrokken worden.

      Ik hoop hwt niet eigenlijk :)
      Eerlijk gezegd vind ik de livery spuug lelijk (vloeken in de kerk) en ik begrijp het ook niet als ik het met een blikje redbull vergelijk. Ik zou dan ook persoonlijk veel liever die kleuren zien chroom/zilver met blauw en een rode stier.

      Mooie livery die van 2016, en niet alleen mooi maar ook duidelijk, je ziet al van ver dat het om een Red Bull gaat.

      Dat is bij ferrari, mercedes en renault niet anders pipo.
      Maar je kunt het natuurlijk mooi vinden, over smaak valt zelfs op een forum niet te twisten ;)

      Ik vond 2016 ook echt een mooie livery, maar zoals The Dre hem voorstelt zou ik denk ik ook erg mooi vinden!

      De neus is natuurlijk het eerste dat geraakt wordt bij veel crashes, waardoor er strenge eisen gelden. Tegelijk proberen ze alles eruit te halen qua aerodynamica, wat in sommige gevallen weer negatieve invloed heeft op de crashtest.
      Je leest idd veel dat een nieuwe neus niet door de crashtest komt.

      Klopt!

      Je hebt ook gelijk. Dit gaat idd over de neus, die is getest.
      Deze is normaal gesproken net voor de eerste testen goedgekeurd.
      En was blij verrast dat het nu al zo ver was.
      Nu kunnen ze verder met de rest van de auto.

      Gaat inderdaad over de neus. Newey werd gisteren geïnterviewd op de autosport beurs, waar hij dat vertelde.

      Het hele artikel klopt niet. Ook de vermelding dat bepaalde onderdelen al in productie zijn Newey heeft dat niet zo gezegt.

    In hetzelfde interview zegt hij ook erg bemoedigende dingen over de nieuwe motor. Nog anderhalve maand mannen. Dan weten we (iets) meer. Lets go Bulls!

    Voor mij hoeven ze ook niets aan de levery te doen hoor ik vind hem prima zo. Supervet ook dat matte lak! Wel ben ik van mening dat TR eens een mooiere livery moeten nemen want die is echt outdated. Bij TR zou ik graag de kleurstelling van een Redbull light blikje willen zien.
