Marcus Ericsson kijkt uit naar samenwerking met Wehrlein

Hoewel Pascal Wehrlein voorlopig nog geen kans krijgt bij het team van Mercedes, kijkt men bij Sauber uit naar de samenwerking met de 22-jarige Duitser. Zijn nieuwe teamgenoot Marcus Ericsson denkt dat Wehrlein, die afgelopen jaar het enige punt scoorde voor zijn werkgever Manor, van toegevoegde waarde gaat zijn voor Sauber.

"Het nieuws dat Pascal mijn nieuwe teamgenoot werd, ervaarde ik als zeer positief. Pascal is een snelle coureur en beschikt over een geweldige CV," zo verklaarde de Zweed aan F1.com. "Ik denk dat wij elkaar en het team vooruit kunnen helpen, dus ik kijk uit naar een mooi seizoen."

"Eerlijk gezegd denk ik dat Pascal een geweldige coureur is, hij heeft al een DTM-kampioenschap op zak en maakt al lang deel uit van de Mercedes-familie, dus zij denken er waarschijnlijk net zo over. Natuurlijk wil ik hem verslaan, ook al denk ik dat dat heel moeilijk gaat zijn, maar dat is precies wat ik nodig heb om het maximale uit mezelf te halen."

"Aan het einde van het afgelopen seizoen zag je dat we al flinke stappen vooruit gemaakt hadden. De bedoeling is natuurlijk deze lijn in 2017 door te trekken. Ik denk dat we enkele zeer getalenteerde mensen aan onze staf hebben kunnen toevoegen en dat zal zeker een verschil gaan maken ten opzichte van vorig jaar. We lijken dus op de goede weg te zijn en met twee hongerige jonge coureurs in de cockpit, moet het volgend seizoen wel goed komen."

Ik hoop dat ze die lelijke geel blauwe kleurstelling overboord gooien. Ik denk dat Wehrlein de oren gaat wassen van Ericsson en dat ie hem gaat overklassen.

Denk dat ERI wel eens kan verrassen en WEH de les gaat lezen. De man groeit gestaag naar beter niveau.

Is trouwens wel een mug als ik hiernaast zo kijk naar zijn lengte en gewicht....

Ericsson: “Sterker nog, ik durf zelfs te stellen dat we in 2017 de bezemwagen voor kunnen blijven. En als we de synergie tussen Pascal en mij verder kunnen ontwikkelen, we misschien ook de safety car op de hielen kunnen zitten. Maar ik wil de lat niet te hoog leggen…”

Tijdens de ROC zijn Wehrlein en Massa net gecrashet door Wehrleins schuld.
Iedereen is ongedeerd gelukkig.
Hier heeft iemand van het ROC de crash op Twitter geplaatst.

Wehrlein en Massa zijn net gecrashet tijdens de ROC. Beiden ongedeerd,
ook de beide passagiers. Heb net een link geplaatst maar komt niet door
het filter.
Was Wehrleins schuld. Video staat op Twitter van ROC.
