Chassis McLaren overleeft de verplichte crashtests

Het team van McLaren heeft een belangrijke horde op weg naar het nieuwe seizoen genomen. Het chassis voor de nieuwe MP4-32 heeft de verplichte crashtests van de internationale autosportbond FIA doorstaan en is gehomologeerd voor 2017.

Racing director Eric Boullier gaf als commentaar: "Na veel hard werk zijn we geslaagd voor de crashtests van de FIA. Ik bedank iedereen die ons daarbij geholpen heeft. Nu gaan we het chassis van een likje verf voorzien."

De geruchten gaan dat McLaren komend seizoen met een radicaal andere livery - mogelijk met oranje tinten - aan de start zal verschijnen.
