Nettowinst Ferrari steeg in 2016 naar 400 miljoen

Sportief gezien was 2016 geen geweldig jaar voor Ferrari, in de Formule 1 boekte de Scuderia geen enkele zege. Financieel gezien was het echter een topjaar voor het Italiaanse merk. Ferrari zag de nettowinst toenemen naar 400 miljoen euro, blijkt uit de jaarcijfers.

In 2015 bedroeg de nettowinst nog 290 miljoen euro. Ferrari verscheepte in 2016 8.014 auto's en de inkomsten gingen omhoog naar 3,11 miljard euro. De goede jaarcijfers zorgden ervoor dat het aandeel Ferrari op de Amerikaanse effectenbeurs met 4 procent steeg.

Ferrari viert dit jaar haar 70-jarige bestaan. De sportwagenfabrikant is van plan om in 2017 ongeveer 8.400 auto's te verschepen. Ferrari-president Sergio Marchionne heeft de doelstelling geformuleerd om in 2019 9.000 wagens te verschepen.

De jaarcijfers van Ferrari kunnen niet tippen aan die van Mercedes-moederbedrijf Daimler. Mercedes verkocht vorig jaar 2,19 miljoen auto's. De omzet van Daimler bedroeg 153,3 miljard euro. Daar bleef na aftrek van de kosten 8,8 miljard euro aan winst over.
