Franse Grand Prix zeker na bankgarantie Paul Ricard

De Grand Prix van Frankrijk keert in 2018 zeker terug op de Formule 1-kalender. De koningsklasse van de autosport sloot al een overeenkomst met Paul Ricard voor de komende vijf jaar, maar pas nu dat circuit een bankgarantie heeft verkregen is het helemaal rond.

Christian Estrosi, president van de Conseil Régionale de Provence Côté d'Azur, zegt in La Provence: "5 december was een historische datum, omdat we toen de terugkeer van de Franse Grand Prix aankondigden. Maar we hebben opnieuw een historische dag achter de rug."

"We kunnen nu definitief zeggen dat de Grand Prix van Frankrijk doorgaat. Credit Agricole Alpes-Provence heeft ons een bankgarantie verleend voor de levensvatbaarheid van ons evenement. Zonder bankgarantie had de Grand Prix niet door kunnen gaan, maar het licht is een paar dagen geleden op groen gezet."

Het is misschien niet op het mooiste circuit (liever Dijon-Prénois), maar de Franse GP hoort op een F1-kalender thuis.
Net als Monza, Spa, Silverstone, Nürburgring en eigenlijk ook Zandvoort.

      Het is misschien niet op het mooiste circuit (liever Dijon-Prénois), maar de Franse GP hoort op een F1-kalender thuis.
      Net als Monza, Spa, Silverstone, Nürburgring en eigenlijk ook Zandvoort.

      LARRY.ik zie zandvoort nog gaan gebeuren ook ze zijn er flink voor aan het werken in ieder geval. Locatie blijft minder voor de bezoekers ik niet dat ze dat enorm kunnen verbeteren. Maar hij hoort er zeker bij. Misschien toch maar een nieuwe locatie bouwen nieuw stuk land op ze of iets dergelijks maar dan wel een knots van een baan (kopie zandvoort circuit?)

    Vind het best een grote uitloopstrook.
    Ben benieuwd of het samenwerkingsverband, nu tot stand komt met Spa.

    En gaat de kassa toch weer rinkelen voor Bernie zijn circuit; )

    Ik kan hier niet echt warm van worden. Er zijn andere Europese circuits die hoger op mijn lijstje zouden staan.
    Verder mag ik hopen dat ze dan die vreselijk irritante blauwe strepen bij de uitloopstroken eindelijk eens weghalen.

    Flutcircuit, tenzij ze zoals bij die regenbandentest de baan wat nat maken. Ik had liever Magny-Cours gezien, 80 km van mijn huis.

    Christian Estrosi ?? Dat is toch een 'oude' Moto GP coureur...? Destijds 500cc in Assen viel hij er in een van de laatste bochten af zodat, ik meen, Wil Hartog nog won....
