McLaren strikt BP/Castrol voor olie en brandstof

Het team van McLaren bundelt de krachten met BP/Castrol. De Britse oliemaatschappij zal de renstal uit Woking dit seizoen voorzien van olie en smeermiddelen. BP/Castrol sloot eerder al een akkoord met Renault en werkt in 2017 dus met twee Formule 1-teams samen.

McLaren-directeur Jonathan Neale: "Deze overeenkomst tussen McLaren, BP en Castrol is een overeenkomst tussen bedrijven die een erkende passie hebben voor alles dat ze doen. Met McLaren-Honda bieden we Castrol een globaal platform om geavanceerde technologieën voor smeermiddelen en brandstof te testen, te ontwikkelen en tentoon te spreiden."

McLaren raakte deze winter trouwe partner ExxonMobil kwijt aan concurrent Red Bull Racing. Daarvoor in de plaats komt dus BP/Castrol.
