Scuderia Toro Rosso wilde eigenlijk op Monza al racen met de F-duct, maar het onderdeel werkte nog niet naar behoren. Het debuut is uitgesteld, teambaas Franz Tost hoopt dat in Singapore de F-duct in gebruik genomen kan worden. Hopelijk kunnen we er daar mee racen. We moeten even uitvogelen waarom het in Monza niet functioneerde, maar ik heb vertrouwen dat onze engineering afdeling een oplossing vindt.

Tost is in elk geval tevreden over de tentoon gespreide snelheid op Monza. We waren slechts een seconde verwijderd van de snelste raceronde. Vanuit technisch oogpunt hebben we een stap voorwaarts gezet met de lage uitlaatmondingen, waardoor we nu meer downforce hebben. Ook hebben we progressie gemaakt bij het afstellen van de wagen. We mogen niet vergeten dat we twee jonge onervaren rijders hebben. Ze leren snel en ze hebben stappen gezet bij het bepalen van de set-up van de bolide. Dus ik ben vrij optimistisch.
