Pierre Gasly voor Team Mugen in Super Formula

Pierre Gasly heeft de naam van zijn team voor 2017 prijsgegeven. De Fransman rijdt dit jaar voor Team Mugen in de Super Formula. Het was al duidelijk dat de regerend GP2-kampioen de oversteek zou maken naar de Japanse klasse, aangezien er in de Formule 1 nog geen plek voor hem was. Gasly hoopt het voorbeeld van Stoffel Vandoorne te volgen en met een omweg via de Super Formula toch de koningsklasse van de autosport te bereiken.
