Video: Lewis Hamilton racet op Schiphol

Afgelopen maandag kwam Lewis Hamilton met zijn team McLaren naar vliegveld Schiphol om te racen tegen Vodafone. Tijdens het evenement, bedacht door Vodafone, nam de wereldkampioen van 2008 het op tegen de snelheid van het netwerk van het telefoniebedrijf.

F1Today.nl was ter plaatse en maakte een kort videoverslag. De strijd werd gewonnen door Hamilton, die in een reeks van drie rondes het duel met 2-1 in zijn voordeel beslechtte.

    Vodafone: Damn, shit, daar gaat onze publiciteitsstunt.. Terug naar de tekentafel, wat nieuws verzinnen

    Conclusie. Waste of time and money. Had kaartverkoop gedaan en fans toe gelaten, had het nog zin gehad...

    Het ging er echt niet om wie er zou winnen. Want dan zouden ze de vodafone wagen gewoon iets sneller laten rijden, niemand die dat controleert. En volgens mij hebben ze nooit gezegd dat ze sneller zouden zijn dan een F1 auto. Het ging er alleen om een show te geven voor een paar Vodafone klanten en reclame voor Vodafone en dat is gelukt. Vooral omdat KLM opeens moeilijk gaat doen om een baantje en dat ze er niets vanaf wisten, wat ik maar erg vreemd vind want het was al langer bekent.

    In Zuid Afrika was het netwerkverkeer eerder dit jaar nog net sneller dan Hamilton in een \&quot;gewone\&quot; Mercedes. Wel te verwachten dat ze dan nu van een F1 auto verliezen :)

    als je goed luistert dan hoor je wanneer de wagen in de 1ste en 2de versnelling staat een soort tractioncontrol of iets dergelijks

    Want een onzin zeg, een vergelijking tussen mobiel internet en een formule 1 auto hahaha. Gewoon een verkapte test waar ze allemaal recht op hebben, alleen deze is met een wel heel dom verhaal. Zeg dan gewoon net zoals Ferrari we willen publiciteits materiaal opnemen.
