Formula One Group verlaat kantoren Ecclestone

De Formule One Group gaat verhuizen, niet heel ver trouwens: het nieuwe hoofdkwartier is een goede 3,5 kilometer verderop. Zij verhuizen naar het voor 400 miljoen pond gerenoveerde St. James’s Market aan de Lower Regent Street. De Formule One Group neemt op de 4e en 5e verdieping van St. James’s Market ongeveer 2000 vierkante meter in gebruik.

Sacha Woodward Hill, juridisch adviseur van de groep, is uiteraard tevreden met het nieuwe onderkomen en verwacht dat de nieuwe locatie de groep verder zal brengen in haar ontwikkeling. “Formule 1 is een wereldwijde sport met toeschouwersaantallen van 400 miljoen. Londen is de perfecte plaats om de internationale fan base nog verder te doen groeien.

De huidige kantoren zijn bezit van Bernie Ecclestone. De voormalige Formule 1-baas heeft ook de panden in bezit op Biggin Hill van waaruit de TV activiteiten worden ontplooid. Het is dus afwachten of ook dit onderdeel binnenkort gaat verhuizen.

Als je van Bernie huurt dan moet je elke bezoeker van het pand een enorme entreeprijs laten betalen om de maandelijks oplopende huur te kunnen betalen. ? ?
