Christian Horner hoopt dat media achter nieuw social media beleid staat

Teambaas Red Bull Racing, Christian Horner, hoopt dat de televisiestations die de rechten van de Formule 1 in bezit hebben zich niet keren tegen het nieuwe social media beleid van Liberty Media. De nieuwe eigenaar van de Formule 1 staat het toe dat de teams op bijvoorbeeld Facebook, Twitter en Instagram video's plaatst van de wintertests. Dat was onder Ecclestone ondenkbaar. 

Horner geeft aan dat de video's die gemaakt worden echt unieke content is en nooit de mainstream media zou halen. "De fans hunkeren naar informatie van achter de schermen en het is prachtig om de fans dat te kunnen bieden. Uiteindelijk is het goede reclame voor de Formule 1", zo vertelt hij aan motorsport.com. "Red Bull zal niets op het circuit gaan filmen, dat ligt niet binnen onze bevoegdheden."

Het was de bedoeling van de teams om de rijders een gezicht te geven en wat van achter de schermen te laten zien.

    Social media is tegenwoordig heel belangrijk en de Formule1 is daar veel te laat mee begonnen. De F1 moet een voorbeeld nemen aan de MotoGP.

    Top, je kan niet meer om social media heen. Hoe meer bereik hoe beter voor de sport. Goeie beslissing. Nu nog ff afwachten of Liberty Media nog meer verstandige wijzigingen gaat doorvoeren.

      En toch komt de Nokia 3310 weer in de winkel te liggen, omdat veel lui echt schijtziek worden van al die social media :) Maar, vanuit marketingoogpunt kun je er idd niet gewoon niks mee doen.

      De Nokia 3310 is een bijproduct van Nokia om de marketingstrategie en promotie van de nieuwe Nokia 6 en (volgens mij) 3 meer kracht te geven. Wat betreft de verkoopdoelstellingen van deze 3310 heeft Nokia geen hoge verwachtingen.

      Waar blijft de grootse terugkeer van de telefoon waarmee je ook letterlijk een nummer moest draaien? Zeg maar de T-Ford onder de telefoontoestellen. ;)

      Ik ken echt zat mensen die meteen een 3310 gaan halen, waaronder ikzelf. Kapitalen uitgegeven aan smartphones, maar allemaal kaduuk, kapotte schermen enz.. Laat maar komen dat ding :)

      Ik heb er ergens nog eentje liggen waar je eerst een kwartiertje draaiwerk aan hebt
      en
      vervolgens aan de operator moet vragen of je
      voor tien centjes mag bellen
      Creditcards worden niet geaccepteerd wegens nog onbekend.

    Ligt ook aan de teams zelf. Teams kunnen zelf ook meer naar buiten brengen en een kijkje geven in hun eigen keuken. Nu zijn het alleen korte gelikte filmpjes meer bedoeld om de sponsoren te pleasen.

    Daarom werd het ook de hoogste tijd voor Bernie om op te stappen. Op een bepaalde leeftijd wordt het (met alle respect) steeds moeilijker om je open te stellen voor nieuwe ontwikkelingen. Wat dat betreft heeft de ‘kleine boef’ het best zeer lang vol gehouden en wordt het tijd om een inhaalslag te maken richting MotoGP, zoals @F1MSCF1 al aangaf.
