Wehrlein heeft geen last van rug op eerste testdag

Sauber-coureur Pascal Wehrlein heeft zonder moeite 47 ronden kunnen rijden tijdens de eerste dag van de tweede wintertest van 2017. De Duitser kwam gisteren voor het eerst in actie met de C36. Hij moest de eerste test verstek laten gaan vanwege een rugblessure.

Van zijn rug had Wehrlein op dinsdag geen last in Barcelona. "Ik voel me goed, tot mijn grote opluchting. Ik sprong in de auto en voelde geen pijn, niets. Ik voelde me prima, geen enkele problemen. Ik keer woensdagochtend terug in de wagen en van daaruit gaan we verder."

"Natuurlijk voel ik wel wat vermoeidheid, maar geen pijn. Dat zijn twee verschillende dingen. Het is mooi dat mijn rug geen probleem meer vormt en dat het niet pijnlijk was om te rijden. Het was heel fijn om terug te zijn en een gevoel op te doen met de nieuwe auto. Ik kijk uit naar de volgende testdag."

Gelukkig kan Pascal wat waardevolle testtijd inhalen. Ik ben benieuwd wat hij dit jaar kan laten zien naast Marcus Ericsson.
