Bodo Uebber in de directie bij team van Mercedes

Het Formule 1-team van Mercedes heeft Bodo Uebber toegevoegd aan de directeur, meldt journalist Adam Cooper. Uebber is afkomstig van Mercedes-moederbedrijf Daimler, waar hij verantwoordelijk is en blijft voor de afdeling financiële zaken. Zijn contract bij Daimler loopt door tot en met 2019.

Uebber is sinds 2003 bestuurslid bij Daimler. De Formule 1 is geen vreemde wereld voor hem; eerder was hij al directeur bij McLaren en bij Delta Topco, dat de commerciële rechten beheert. Hij treedt in de voetsporen van collega Britta Seeger, die eerder dit jaar al besloot om haar werk voor Daimler te combineren met een bestuursfunctie bij Mercedes AMG F1.
