TT-circuit Assen bouwt nieuwe Haarbochttribune

De Nederlandse circuits hebben het maar druk met verbouwingen en renovaties. Circuit Park Zandvoort voorzag de baan van een nieuwe laag asfalt, terwijl het TT-circuit van Assen eind 2016 begon met de bouw van een nieuwe Haarbochttribune. In de Haarbocht worden de blauwe kuipstoeltjes vervangen door een betonnen tribune die goed zicht geeft op het circuit. De tribune wordt 350 meter lang en er kunnen 9800 toeschouwers op zitten.

De nieuwe Haarbochttribune krijgt langzaam maar zeker gestalte:

Het zou mooi zijn als ze deze tribune naar de helaas onlangs overleden "Mr TT" Jaap Timmer zouden vernoemen. Dan rijden de coureurs van de Geert Timmer (vader) bocht richting de Jaap Timmer (zoon) tribune.
