Rome financiert Grand Prix niet met gemeenschapsgeld

De promotor van de Grand Prix van Rome heeft beloofd dat het evenement niet gefinancierd wordt door belastingcenten. De race in de straten van de Italiaanse hoofdstad moet in 2012 of 2013, afhankelijk van de toestemming van de inwoners van EUR-district, voor het eerst plaats vinden.

Promotor Maurizio Flammini zegt niet waar het geld voor de Grand Prix vandaan komt, maar benadrukt dat de stad niets zal betalen. Ik stel dat de stad Rome en de gemeente in ons businessplan niks bijdragen financieel gezien. Geen euro zal vanuit de geldkoffers van de gemeenschap in de zakken van de promotor verdwijnen, aldus de Italiaan tegenover persbureau Adnkronos.
