Fitness expert Michael Collier naar McLaren Applied Technologies

Michael Collier, het genie achter de fitheid van Jenson Button is door McLaren aangenomen om het McLaren Human Performance Centre of Excellence te gaan leiden.

Mikey Muscles

Collier is zeker geen onbekende in de paddock en werd 'Mikey Muscles' genoemd. Hij zorgde voor de fysieke begeleiding en voorbereiding op races van Button en werkt dit jaar met McLaren-rookie Stoffel Vandoorne.

"De aanstelling van Collier is in lijn met de voortdurende investering van het bedrijf in de ontwikkeling van producten en oplossing voor welzijn en gezondheid", zo valt in het persbericht te lezen. Uiteraard is Collier content met zijn aanstelling: "Ik ben enorm te trots om deel uit te gaan maken van McLaren Applied Technologies, een bedrijf dat er op gericht is op het verbeteren van het leven door middel van snelle innovatie."

Ook Jenson Button is blij dat zijn voormalig begeleider deel uit blijft maken van de McLaren-familie. "Ik heb het geluk gehad dat ik persoonlijk bijna 10 jaar van zijn expertise mocht profiteren.
