Sochi Autodrom past uitloopstrook tweede bocht aan

Op last van de FIA heeft het Sochi Autodrom de uitloopstrook in de tweede bocht aangepast. De asfaltstrook werd vorig jaar veelvuldig door coureurs gebruikt om ongelukken te vermijden, maar een ritje over de strook bleek ook een voordeel op te leveren voor de snelheid die een coureur mee kon nemen in de derde bocht.

Inmiddels heeft de FIA een verklaring uitgegeven aan alle teams waarin staat te lezen dat er een zogenaamde 'sausage-kerb' is aangebracht met een hoogte van 50 millimeter. Ook moeten de coureurs, wanneer zij doorschieten in bocht twee, eerst langs een kerbstone rijden voordat zij de baan weer op mogen sturen.
