Sebastian Vettel voorzichtig optimistisch na eerste trainingen

Ferrari sloot de beide vrije trainingen van gisteren af met de snelste tijd. In de ochtend was Kimi Raikkonen het snelst, in de middag was de naam van Sebastian Vettel bovenaan de tijdenlijst te vinden. De viervoudig wereldkampioen denkt echter dat Mercedes nog wel wat achter de hand heeft.

Vettel denkt dat Mercedes er tijdens de derde training en kwalificatie beter voor zal staan: "Ik verwacht zeker een sterk Mercedes. Het is een circuit waar Mercedes het altijd goed doet, het zou raar zijn wanneer dat het deze keer niet zo is. De tijden van de eerste dag geven soms een vertekenend beeld, vorig jaar was Williams bijvoorbeeld het snelst na de eerste dag en won Mercedes met overmacht de race. Ik ben blij met mijn dag, alles verliep volgens plan en we wisten ons gedurende de sessies steeds te verbeteren."
