'Mercedes aan het einde van de rit weer bovenaan'

Ferrari voert op dit moment de boventoon, maar is de Scuderia nu ook de grote favoriet voor de wereldtitel? Niet wat het panel van Slipstream, het online autosportprogramma van RTL GP, betreft. Kees van de Grint, voormalig bandenspecialist van Bridgestone, denkt dat toch Mercedes aan het einde van de rit weer bovenaan zal staan. Samen met presentator Allard Kalff buigt hij zich ook over de vraag of Max Verstappen in Rusland heeft aangetoond dat hij niet vergeleken moet worden met Ayrton Senna, maar met Alain Prost of Michael Schumacher.

Wat betreft dat ze zeggen dat Ferrari teveel onderdelen gebruikt klopt ook niet. Ferrari heeft aangegeven sommige onderdelen in te willen zetten en dan te willen rouleren tijdens het seizoen. Dus dat Vettel en Kimi aan hun derde turbo zijn betekent dat niet dat die andere twee afgeschreven zijn ... [Lees verder]

    Ik vind dit wel leuk om te zien om weer eens wat andere meningen te horen. Maar man wat zitten zij er vaak naast met hun voorspellingen, ook alleen gebaseerd op gevoel heb ik het idee.

Dus dat Vettel en Kimi aan hun derde turbo zijn betekent dat niet dat die andere twee afgeschreven zijn (bij Kimi wel één turbo, want die is overleden in Bahrein).

      Ach ze gaan enkel uit van wat ze de afgelopen jaren hebben gezien dus een sterk doorontwikkelend Mercedes. Er werd ook geroepen dat een team met teveel Italianen niks kan worden en zie hier. Vooralsnog zie ik een Lewis die z'n draai nog niet weet te vinden en een bij vlagen sterke bottas die in staat is punten van lewis weet af te snoepen.

      Vind je dat?

      IK vind 'm juist wel een frisse eigen blik hebben, in ieder geval komt hij wel eens met een kijk op zaken op manier waar ik niet zo snel aan had gedacht. En dat kan ik van de fanboys Lammers en Doornbos niet zeggen, die hoesten alleen maar dingen op die het gemiddelde forumlid hier ook schrijft.

      Goede, inhoudelijke reactie ook. Knap hoor! Kun je ook uitleggen waarom je denkt dat ie voormalig verstandhebber is? Of roep je nu net zoals een groot aantal posters hier meteen anti elke persoon die iets meer met de F1 en autosport te maken heeft (gehad) en denk je dat er meer kennis bij jou zit dan bij hen?

      Wat is er mis met van der Grint? De man is al sinds zijn jeugd zeer technisch onderbouwd en actief in de auto- en motorsport. Velen jaren aan de absolute top gewerkt in de F1. Die man heeft spreekwoordelijk meer verstand in enkel en alleen zijn pink zitten dan ik als 20 jarig motorsport liefhebber en privé/hobby rijder in totaal. Ik kan hem zelden op onzin betrappen.

    Kees: verstandig met mooie woorden.. Ferrari is de betere auto, maar Mercedes staat straks toch weer bovenaan........ het blijven Duitsers.;-) Denk dat hij wel eens gelijk kan krijgen.....

    Ach, meneer vd Grint vertelde nog niet zo heel lang geleden dat hij nooit meer F1 kijkt... Nu hebben ze opeens een online F1 programma, allemaal meeliften met succes van Verstappen... ach ja, misschien zou ik het zelf ook doen als het makkelijk geld is... :-)

      Inderdaad is meeliften met verstappen een mooi middel om je eigen beurs te spekken en deze twee laten zien dat dat helemaal niet zo moeilijk is op dit moment.
