'Terugkeer' van Glock in F1 uit de hand gelopen grap

Timo Glock zal geen comeback in de Formule 1 maken. De Duitser plaatste eerder deze week een post op Instagram waarin hij aangaf benaderd te zijn door een Formule 1-team voor een terugkeer en dat hij later meer details bekend zou maken. Later krabbelde hij al terug.

Inmiddels heeft Glock aan Duitse media laten weten dat het om een uit de hand gelopen grap ging. Op de foto die hij via Instagram deelde was niet een seatfitting, maar een simulator-sessie te zien. De vraag welke renstal dan contact met hem had gezocht bleef onbeantwoord.

Glock kwam in de Formule 1 uit voor Toyota, Virgin Racing en Marussia. Hij verscheen in totaal 91 keer aan de start van een Grand Prix, finishte drie keer op het podium en scoorde 51 punten. Tegenwoordig is hij voor BMW actief in de toerwagenserie DTM.
