Jean Todt stelt zich kandidaat voor derde termijn als FIA voorzitter

Jean Todt heeft laten weten dat hij zich kandidaat heeft gesteld voor een derde termijn als voorzitter van de internationale autosportfederatie FIA. De Fransman is sinds 2009 voorzitter, maar wil nog vier jaar door.

Todt volgde in 2009 de veelbesproken Max Mosley op. In 2013 werd Todt opnieuw gekozen, maar dat had te maken met het feit dat er geen andere kandidaten waren. De verkiezingen voor de volgende ambtstermijn zijn in december. Aanstaande maandag wordt bekend of er andere gedadigden zijn naast de oud-teambaas van Ferrari.
