Kimi Raikkönen: "In Monaco meer nodig dan alleen een kortere wielbasis"

Kimi Raikkönen heeft de verhalen dat de kortere wielbasis Ferrari een voordeel geeft in Monaco tegengesproken. Mercedes haalde het week aan dat zij door een langere wielbasis een nadeel hebben te opzichte van de Italiaanse renstal.

Raikkönen: "Wij hebben dezelfde wielbasis op ieder circuit, dus hopelijk gedraagt de auto zich op dezelfde wijze zoals overal. Je hebt meer nodig dan alleen een kortere wielbasis hier in Monaco."

Na de eerste vrije training heeft de Fin vooralsnog het gelijk aan zijn zijde. Hamilton zette de snelste tijd neer, voor Vettel en zelf eindigde hij op plaats zeven. Maar de tijden zullen nog verder omlaag gaan de komende dagen.

Waar Kimi Raikkönen wel te snel was, was in de pit straat. Daar waar een maximale snelheid van 60km/u is toegestaan reed hij bijna 62km/u. Dat komt hem direct op een boete te staan:
