Uitslag fanonderzoek: Formule 1 spannender en prestigieuzer

Twee jaar geleden deed de Formule 1 een onderzoek naar de populariteit van de sport onder de fans. De uitslag was niet best: volgens de fans was de sport saai en corrupt. Twee jaar later ziet de uitslag van het onderzoek er een stuk rooskleuriger uit. De fans oordelen dan Formule 1 spannender en prestigieuzer is geworden in vergelijking met twee jaar geleden.

Een van de belangrijkste uitkomsten van het onderzoek is dat fans de toekomst van de sport beter in zien dan een paar jaar geleden. Dit zal ongetwijfeld te maken met de komst van Liberty Media als nieuwe eigenaar van de sport. Door de komst van het Amerikaanse mediabedrijf is de sport veel meer open en omarmt het social media meer en meer.

Uiteraard zijn er altijd verbeterpunten: volgens fans wordt de sport niet beter door kunstmatige hulpmiddelen. Fans zijn geen fan van omgekeerde startopstellingen, strafgewicht of circuits die nat zijn gespoten door sprinklerinstallaties.
