Ziggo Sport tot einde seizoen door met F1 eBattle

Ziggo Sport gaat door met de zogenaamde Formule 1 eBattle; een virtuele strijd tussen analist Robert Doornbos en fans/gamers/kijkers. Daar is de sportzender van de kabelgigant dit jaar mee begonnen en wegens succes is het concept verlengd tot het einde van dit seizoen.

De tijdelijke racewinkel in de vestiging van AKO op station Utrecht Centraal is verruild voor een heus eCircuit in winkelcentrum Hoog Catharijne, naast station Utrecht Centraal. Vandaag vindt de opening plaats en nemen professionele autocoureurs, BN'ers, YouTubers en media het tegen elkaar op. In de VIP race - die start om 15.00 uur - strijden Robert Doornbos, cabaretiers en andere BN'ers om de titel 'Snelste Nederlander'.

Bezoekers kunnen plaatsnemen in een simulator van Playseat en proberen de snelste rondetijd te klokken in de Ziggo Formule 1 eBattle. Per Grand Prix krijgen de tien snelste coureurs van die periode een uitnodiging voor een finalewedstrijd op vrijdag.

De winnaar van deze finale neemt het live in het Ziggo Sport-programma Formule 1 Café op tegen oud-Formule 1 coureur Robert Doornbos, tegenwoordig analist. Uiteraard zijn daarbij mooie prijzen te winnen, waaronder een officiële Playseat.

Laat ze dan ook eerst een kwalificatie rondje rijden, aangezien nu altijd Doornbos van Pole vertrekt, wat hij uiteraard niet gewend is natuurlijk.

Ze doen maar, ik kijk het toch niet. Heb een paar keer wat vlagen gezien en snap eigenlijk niet waarom die Doornbos het zo goed doet telkens.

Of de deelnemers zijn toch niet zo goed, wat gek is want volgens mij zijn er zat zeer goede SIM-racers in dit land, of Doornbos oefent ook de nodige uurtjes voor een goed rondje.

  Doornbos wordt toch telkens zoek gereden ? Ik zou hem met 2 vingers in mijn neus 3 sec aan zijn broek geven over 1 rondje als ik hem zo zie rijden...

  Oh de keren dat ik het toevallig zag in de voorbeschouwing zag ik hem winnen, dat kan ook toeval zijn geweest.
  
  Ik probeer zoals gezegd dat soort onzin zoveel mogelijk te mijden. Eigenlijk de hele voorbeschouwing van Ziggo in de studio.

  Deelnemers hebben vaak andere zit positie dan ze gewend zijn. Onderschat niet het feit dat er publiek is en camera's op je gericht staan. Moeilijk om dat buiten te sluiten.
