Dallara is verkozen tot producent voor het universele bodywork-pakket voor de IndyCar Series voor 2018. Dat heeft de organisatie van de Amerikaanse klasse bekendgemaakt. Dallara rust het IR-12 chassis volgend jaar uit met de nieuwe bodywork-kit.

Alle teams zullen gebruikmaken van dat bodywork. Jay Frye van de IndyCar-organisatie: "Dit bodywork is het resultaat van gezamenlijke inspanningen, inclusief input vanuit de paddock en van onze fans. Dallara is een geweldige partner en we zijn zeer enthousiast over het uiterlijk, de veiligheid en de performance van de auto voor 2018."
