Wehrlein verontschuldigt zich voor crash in Q1

Pascal Wehrlein voelde zich behoorlijk schuldig over zijn crash in Q1. De jonge Duitser raakte tijdens zijn laatste snelle ronde in Q1 het gras voor bocht 1 en verloor daardoor de controle over zijn bolide die zijn achterkant in de vangrail boorde. Wehrlein verscheen schuldbewust voor de pers na de eerste kwalificatie: "Het was helemaal mijn fout ik zat te ver naar rechts, waardoor de achterwielen blokkeerden en toen spinde ik."

"Ik wil mijn excuses aanbieden aan het team. De monteurs werken sinds Monaco iedere dag heel hard aan de auto, omdat we een beetje achterblijven qua pace. Door deze crash bezorg ik ze ook nog een hele lange werkdag," verontschuldigde Wehrlein zich.
