GPDA positief na gesprek met FIA-voorzitter Jean Todt

Rijdersvakbond GPDA is te spreken over de houding die Jean Todt, president van de internationale autosportbond FIA, tijdens een onderhoud in Zuid-Korea tentoon spreidde. De Fransman sprak met GPDA-voorzitter Rubens Barrichello en GPDA-directeuren Felipe Massa en Sebastian Vettel.

De coureurs wilden meer weten over de nieuwe reglementen en drongen aan op een plek aan de onderhandelingstafel, wist Autosport al eerder te melden. Barrichello heeft een goed gevoel aan de bijeenkomst met Todt overgehouden.

Het was oké. We wilden drie, vier onderwerpen met hem bespreken en Jean was zeer open. Het enige dat we verlangen is dat de GPDA nauwer wordt betrokken bij de toekomst van de sport, dus dat als ze een nieuwe vleugel of nieuw circuit introduceren, wij gehoord worden. Dit was vrij goed, Jean was zeer ontvankelijk.
