Robert Kubica van de partij bij Festival of Speed

Robert Kubica is toegevoegd aan de lijst van deelnemers voor het Festival of Speed in Goodwood. De Pool kruipt voor die gelegenheid in een Lotus E20 uit 2012, zo laat de organisatie weten. Het Goodwood Festival of Speed is van donderdag 29 juni tot en met zondag 2 juli.

Kubica sprong begin deze maand voor het eerst in zes jaar weer eens in een Formule 1-wagen. Hij testte namens Renault met de Lotus E20 op het circuit van Valencia. De Pool completeerde 115 rondjes en sindsdien gonst van de geruchten over een mogelijke comeback.

Renault wil Kubica echter geen valse hoop geven en heeft getracht om die verhalen de kop in te drukken. Directeur Cyril Abiteboul: "Op dit moment staat hij niet op ons lijstje. Robert heeft nog meer dingen af te vinken voordat hij in aanmerking komt voor dat lijstje."
