De dag van de laatste GP-zege van Gilles Villeneuve

Het is vandaag precies 36 jaar geleden dat Gilles Villeneuve zijn zesde en laatste overwinning in de Formule 1 in de wacht sleepte. Op 21 juni 1981 was de Canadees de sterkste in de Spaanse Grand Prix op het circuit van Jarama. Jacques Laffite en John Watson mochten met hem mee naar het podium. Het zou zijn laatste optreden in Spanje zijn. In mei 1982 overleed Villeneuve na een crash tijdens de kwalificatie voor de Belgische Grand Prix op het circuit van Zolder.
