Pirelli kondigt compounds voor België en Japan aan

Bandenleverancier Pirelli heeft bekendgemaakt welke compounds het beschikbaar stelt voor de Grand Prix van België én voor de Grand Prix van Japan. Op Spa-Francorchamps kunnen de teams en coureurs kiezen uit de drie zachtste banden uit het assortiment, namelijk ultrazacht, superzacht en zacht. Voor Suzuka nomineerde Pirelli de medium, zachte en superzachte compounds.

De coureurs moeten één setje van de zachtste band reserveren voor het geval dat ze Q3 halen en één setje van beide hardere compounds overhouden voor de race, om er daar minstens één van te gebruiken. In de zomerpauze brengt Pirelli de exacte bandenselectie voor de Belgische Grand Prix per rijder naar buiten. De keuze van de teams en coureurs voor de Japanse Grand Prix wordt in de week na de Grand Prix van Maleisië onthuld.
