Nico Rosberg viert vandaag zijn 32ste verjaardag

Oud Formule 1-coureur Nico Rosberg is vandaag jarig. De Duitser blaast 32 kaarsjes op zijn verjaardagstaart uit. Rosberg debuteerde in 2006 bij Williams in de Formule 1. Eind vorig jaar hield hij het na het binnenslepen van zijn eerste en enige wereldtitel voor gezien. De zoon van Keke Rosberg verraste vriend en vijand door de Formule 1 vaarwel te zeggen.

Zo sloot Rosberg zijn actieve carrière vrij plotseling af, met 206 Grand Prix-starts en 23 overwinningen. Ook oud-coureur Chris Irwin, die in 1966 en 1967 bij tien Grands Prix aan de start verscheen, viert vandaag zijn verjaardag. De Brit heeft de leeftijd van 75 jaar bereikt. De felicitaties gaan uit naar de jarige Rosberg en Irwin.
