Documentaire over Williams verschijnt deze zomer

De Formule 1 wordt de laatste tijd overspoeld door nieuwe films en documentaires. Na onder meer de documentaire over het leven van Ayrton Senna en de speelfilm over de heroïsche strijd tussen James Hunt en Niki Lauda tijdens het seizoen 1976 in 'Rush' komen dit jaar weer wat nieuwe films over prominente Formule 1-figuren uit.

Zo is er een documentaire over McLaren-oprichter en naamgever Bruce McLaren gemaakt, maar dat is niet alles. Er verschijnt deze zomer ook een documentairefilm over Williams, de familie en het gelijknamige raceteam. Die film, geregisseerd door Morgan Matthews, bevat interviews met onder andere Jackie Stewart, Alan Jones, Nigel Mansell en Nelson Piquet. De première is op 11 juli en de film zal vanaf 14 augustus op DVD en Blu-Ray verkrijgbaar zijn. Het is nog niet duidelijk of de documentaire 'Williams' ook in Nederlandse bioscopen te zien zal zijn.
