Formule 1 in zee met sportmarketingbedrijf Lagardère

Formule 1-eigenaar Liberty Media heeft sportmarketingbedrijf Lagardère Sports in de hand genomen om de Chinese markt te veroveren. De Grand Prix van China staat al sinds 2004 op de kalender, maar het immense land in Azië is nog altijd niet volledig gevallen voor de charmes van de koningsklasse van de autosport. Lagardère Sports moet helpen om daar verandering in te brengen.

Sean Bratches, commercieel directeur van de Formule 1: "We zijn trots op onze langlopende relatie met de autosport in Azië, waarbij we samenwerken met geweldige circuiteigenaren en succesvolle promotors, van Singapore tot aan Suzuka en Sjanghai. In de hele regio bewijzen Formule 1-fans dat ze tot de meest gepassioneerde fans van de sport behoren, waarbij 8,8 miljoen mensen de Aziatische Grands Prix bezochten sinds 2004."

"We zijn vastberaden om hierop voort te borduren en ons merk verder te ontwikkelen door middel van live entertainment-ervaringen om de fans dichter bij de actie te brengen. Het doet ons dan ook deugd om de handen ineen te slaan met Lagardère Sports, wiens kennis van de Chinese markt op de lange termijn alleen maar voordelen kan hebben voor onze partners en de merken waar we mee werken."
