De dag dat Alain Prost het hele veld op een ronde zette

Het is vandaag precies 32 jaar geleden dat Alain Prost een huzarenstukje opvoerde op het circuit van Silverstone. De Fransman schreef op 21 juli 1985 de Grand Prix van Groot-Brittannië op zijn naam. Prost won niet zomaar, hij declasseerde de rest van het veld. Michele Alboreto eindigde op meer dan een ronde achterstand als tweede. Eerlijkheid gebiedt te zeggen dat er wel veel uitvallers waren, maar het was desalniettemin een subliem optreden van Prost.
