Wolff: "Back-to-back-to-back races logistiek te doen"

Mercedes-motorsportbaas Toto Wolff heeft geen moeite met het feit dat de Formule 1 van plan is om volgend jaar drie Grands Prix in drie opeenvolgende weekenden te programmeren. Frankrijk, Oostenrijk en Groot-Brittannië staan back-to-back-to-back op de voorlopige kalender voor 2018.

Wolff: "Het is niet zo gecompliceerd. Natuurlijk is een triple header moeilijk, maar we blijven binnen Europa en hoeven niet door verschillende tijdzones te reizen. Logistiek is het te doen, we hebben in het verleden logistiek gezien voor zwaardere opgaven gestaan."

De Formule 1 moet met de hoeveelheid races wel waken voor verzadiging. "Het is belangrijk om het ideale aantal races te vinden. Met twintig Grands Prix behoud je de exclusiviteit, we moeten oppassen dat men niet verzadigd raakt door een overdaad aan races", luidde het advies van Wolff aan Formule 1-eigenaar Liberty Media.

    Om niet teveel races per jaar te hebben is wat voor te zeggen, je wil natuurlijk iedereen elke race voor de buis of op het circuit zien, en met dit aantal races wordt het seizoen niet verschrikkelijk lang.

      Logistiek is ook geen probleem voor Lewis met zijn privé jet.
      Weet je nog tijdens de wintertesten Lewis reed op vrijdag, ging daarna naar new york om vervolgens op dinsdag weer in te stappen in de auto.

    Die wolf kan zich beter samen met die andere teams druk maken over die verdomd ziekelijke HALO . Dan piepen over back to back races . Duidelijk hoe groot die pampers zijn die ze aan hebben , een bejaarde dementie pamper zit sneller vol dan die zij dragen . Lopen piepen nu over verzadiging van races terwijl ze maar ja en amen doen over iets waar 90% van de teams tegen zijn bah bah . Ben benieuwd wanneer de 7 geitjes tevoorschijn komen . Echt hier krommen me tenen van van zulks onbelangrijk geneuzel wat helemaal nog niet direct aan de orde is
    Veiligheid voorop , maar die halo is de grootste bullshit sinds het begin van de sport , en nu als een kutkat piepen over iets wat eventueel in de pen zit voor de verdere toekomst
