Brundle mist Grand Prix van Hongarije om thuis te werken aan herstel

Sky Sports-verslaggever Martin Brundle moet de Grand Prix van Hongarije overslaan. De Britse oud Formule 1-coureur voelde zich op de zondag van de Britse Grand Prix niet lekker en werd naar het ziekenhuis gebracht. Daar werd niets ernstigs geconstateerd, maar op advies van de doktoren is Brundle niet afgereisd naar Boedapest.

Vorig jaar werd de oud-coureur van o.a. Benetton en Jordan getroffen door een lichte hartaanval tijdens de Grand Prix van Monaco. Ook toen werd de volgende race overgeslagen en dat lot treft de altijd gedreven Brundle opnieuw. Vaste commentator David Croft wordt dit weekend bijgestaan door Paul di Resta. Di Resta nam de honneurs ook op Silverstone waar.

De verwachting is dat Brundle na de zomerstop terug is als verslaggever van Sky Sports.
