Het team van Mercedes moest zondag lange tijd schipperen. De Duitse renstal kampte met een probleem met de communicatieapparatuur, waardoor de coureurs niet via de boordradio met de pitmuur konden communiceren. Een scheur in een van de glasvezelkabels lag daaraan ten grondslag. Welke impact had het gebrek aan radioverkeer op de strategie van Mercedes?
