Yas Marina Circuit pakt veiligheid van bocht 8 aan

Het Yas Marina Circuit heeft enkele kleine wijzigingen aan de baan doorgevoerd. Niet aan de lay-out, maar aan de veiligheid en dat alleen bij bocht 8. Die bocht volgt na het lange rechte stuk achter op het circuit.

De uitloopzone is met tien meter verlengd. Daarnaast heeft de circuitleiding een extra TECPRO-wand toegevoegd bij bocht 8. Yas Marina Circuit is zondag gastheer van de tweede Grand Prix van Abu Dhabi.

      inderdaad ze rijden toch al bijna bij iedere bocht meters van de baan af .Er moet een regel komen dat ze op de baan blijven. Dadelijk word het net als de dtm die zitten wel 20 meter van de baan af in de bocht.Ze rijden volgas door de bocht waar ze dat normaal niet kunnen maar door die veel te grote uitloopstroken kan dat.Ik ben voor de grindbakken.

      Inderdaad helemaal geen uitloopstroken, maar gewoon grind, zeker op de plekken op circuits waar je duidelijk kan zien dat coureurs het meenemen in hun racelijn.
      Alles grind is ook weer niet wenselijk, gaat een inhaalpoging eens niet goed, staan ze meteen vast.
      Dan probeert niemand meer wat en dat willen we ook niet natuurlijk!

    Wat het niet zo dat het circuit zich leent voor meerdere lay-outs, ik dacht dat ze op het lange rechte stuk evt. de mogelijkheid hebben voor een chicane.

      Bedoel je niet dat stuk richting dat eerste lange rechte stuk? Daar zit nu ook een chicane in namelijk, terwijl het ook mogelijk zou zijn daar zonder chicane naar toe te rijden.

      Ik weet het niet zeker maar ik dacht dat het was op het laatste lange rechte stuk was, hou het in de gaten waneer je de helicopter beelden ziet, dan zie je veel asfaltstroken liggen die daarvoor bedoeld zouden kunnen zijn. Maar nogmaals ben niet zeker van mijn zaak.

      Het moet wel een racebaan blijven en geen hindernisbaan worden he! Snelheid maken op dat rechte stuk, daarom kijken we F1 en geen skelterwedstrijden.
