Sauber introduceert nieuwe bodemplaat in België

De Belgische Grand Prix markeert voor Sauber het moment om het tweede deel van een omvangrijk pakket nieuwe onderdelen te introduceren. Het eerste deel is in Hongarije al op de C36 gemonteerd. De updates voor Spa-Francorchamps bestaan onder meer uit een nieuwe bodemplaat.

De wagens van Sauber zullen er ook optisch iets anders uitzien. De Zwitserse renstal rijdt in België dit weekend met een gewijzigde livery. Partner Additive Industries, een Nederlands bedrijf gespecialiseerd in 3D-printing en de industriële bewerking van metaal, krijgt een speciaal plekje op de auto's.

Coureur Marcus Ericsson heeft in elk geval zin in de Grand Prix van België. "Het is prettig dat het weer gaat beginnen nadat we even de tijd hebben gehad om uit te rusten. We gaan naar Spa-Francorchamps en dat is een van de hoogtepunten van het jaar. Het is een geweldige uitdaging door alle snelle bochten, met name de beroemde bocht Eau Rouge. Het weer wil zich ook nog wel eens roeren, dat zou dit weekend weer een rol kunnen spelen."
