Formule 1 breidt 'F1 Fan Festival' uit voor Belgische GP

Het 'F1 Fan Festival'-format keert dit weekend terug bij de Grand Prix van België. Als onderdeel van het streven om de fans meer bij de sport te betrekken en de ervaring voor de bezoekers te verbeteren lanceerde Liberty Media eerder dit jaar in Spanje een soort speciale fanzone. Dat concept is voor het weekend op Spa-Francorchamps verder uitgewerkt.

Het F1 Fan Festival staat dit weekend grotendeels in teken van de 50ste Formule 1-race op Spa. "De Belgische Grand Prix markeert het startschot voor de introductie van een verbeterde uitvoering van het Fan Festival, met interactieve wedstrijden, nieuwe activiteiten en live muziek voor de toeschouwers die naar deze race komen", luidt de verklaring.

"Na de succesvolle lancering in Spanje heeft de Formule 1 de fans geraadpleegd over hoe we dit concept verder konden verbeteren. Er zullen meer show-auto's tentoongespreid worden, waaronder een uit de collectie van Michael Schumacher, en we introduceren een social media wall. Daarnaast zullen we foto's en video's van een halve eeuw Formule 1 op Spa laten zien."
