'Sauber komt binnenkort met belangrijk nieuws'

Vanuit Monza druppelen berichten binnen dat het team van Sauber binnenkort met belangrijk nieuws komt. De Zwitserse renstal verscheurde in Hongarije het contract met Honda voor de levering van motoren en kondigde een verlenging van de samenwerking met Ferrari aan. Volgens de geruchten heeft het nieuws te maken met Ferrari en wordt het nog dit weekend of begin volgende week wereldkundig gemaakt.

Een van de aankondigingen die aanstaande zou kunnen zijn is de bevestiging van Charles Leclerc als racecoureur. Eerder deze week werd bekend dat de Monegask vijf vrijdagtrainingen voor Sauber zal rijden in de slotfase van dit seizoen. Toen Sauber en Ferrari in Hongarije aankondigden met elkaar door te gaan volgend jaar, zwelden meteen de geruchten aan over de coureursbezetting van volgend jaar. Marcus Ericsson lijkt zeker van zijn plek, de tweede plek lijkt door een Ferrari-talent ingevuld te gaan worden.

Naast de line-up voor volgend jaar zou het andere nieuws kunnen zijn dat de naam Sauber na 25 jaar uit de Formule 1 gaat verdwijnen. Ferrari schijnt de naam Alfa Romeo te willen verbinden aan de Zwitserse renstal. Ferrari heeft de afgelopen jaren hard gewerkt aan een nieuwe positionering van Alfa Romeo en zou de Formule 1 willen gebruiken om de merkbekenheid een nieuwe impuls te geven.

Vooralsnog zijn de berichten over Sauber geruchten, maar waar rook is is vuur.

Als je punten pakt in een Manor en Sauber, ben je gewoon goed genoeg. Denk dan dat het inderdaad aan weinig geluk te wijten valt.

    Ff offtopic.

    Max p12, perez versnellingsbak wissel en zodoende ook gridstraf.

    Ontopic. Zonde dat er weer een historische naam verdwijnt. Had fer gewoon niet beter vorig seizoen ehhh ( ben naam ff kwijt ) kunnen opkopen inplaats van failliet laten gaan en daar een opleidings team van kunnen maken. Hadden we gelijk 2 auto's meer gehad en dus ook 2 plekjes extra voor aanstormende talenten.

      Volgens mij heeft max als 2e gekwalificeerd + 20 plaatsen straf.
      Perez als 11e + 5 plaatsen straf.

      Zou betekenen dat perez als 12e start en max 13e

      @Shag nee Perez heeft slechts 5 plaatsen straf en komt hierdoor voor Verstappen te staan omdat die 20 plaatsen straf heeft. Staat op meerdere websites. In feite levert ie maar 1 plek in tov zijn kwalificatieplek.

      Grosjean heeft er ook een penalty bij gehad. Nu 9 rijders met een straf, bijna het halve veld.

      Zonde dat een historische naam verdwijnt maar er komt weer een oude terug: Alfa Romeo! Het zous veel erger geweest zijn als dit om Chinese, Russische of Qataarse investeerders ging met alle gevolgen vandien. Op deze manier blijft het een historisch team.

      Monisha maakt haar comeback en het team gaat Kaltenborn-Alfa Romeo Formula One Racing heten.
      Plek zat op haar kont om zo’n lange naam kwijt te kunnen. ;)

    Pascal Wehrlein heeft weinig geluk, of hij is niet goed genoeg, Manor failliet, Sauber zal hij ook het veld moeten ruimen neem ik aan.

    Dit is goed nieuws, Alfa Romeo terug in de sport en een top talent erbij. Misschien maken ze een combinatie van Sauber en Alfa Romeo zodat de naam toch in de sport blijft, Alfa Romeo Sauber klink wel.

    De naam van Alfa Romeo ziet er geslepen uit voor het vervangen van Sauber. vrienden van mij hebben in het verleden ook Alfa Romeo gereden en wat zij een problemen hadden met de auto van Alfa Romeo is niet uit de lucht gegrepen en daar zal nu natuurlijk wel een flinke verbetering van Alfa Romeo tegen over staan.

      Dat mag jij vinden. Voor Sauber, en de F1 wereld is het wel belangrijk, en de liefhebbers. Sauber is namelijk een van de langslopende teams. Ja, ze hebben wat mindere jaren. In de Petronas tijd, die mooie blauwe/groene wagens, deden ze leuke dingen.
