Mercedes heerst op Monza ook op gebied van pitstops

Het team van Mercedes deelde in de Italiaanse Grand Prix de lakens uit als in zijn beste dagen. En niet alleen de snelheid van de wagen was top, ook de pitcrew van de Duitse renstal stak in een topvorm. De pitstop van Valtteri Bottas was net iets sneller dan die van Lewis Hamilton, maar ook met het verwisselen van de banden gaf Mercedes de rest het nakijken.

Nee, de olieregels maken een klein verschil als de motor in kwalificatie stand staat. Tijdens de race wordt die modus bijna nooit gebruikt. Verder was het Ferrari die werd beticht van excessief mengen van olie en benzine en NIET Mercedes.
