Alfa Romeo valt net als Ferrari onder de hele Fiat Chrysler-holding. Sergio Marchionne, de grote baas van het concern, heeft ook al meermaals de mogelijkheid besproken dat Alfa Romeo op een dag terugkeert in de Formule 1. Daarvoor moet het Italiaanse merk wel meer auto's gaan verkopen en om de verkoop te stimuleren hebben Ferrari-rijders Sebastian Vettel en Kimi Raikkonen meegewerkt aan een promotiefilmpje voor de Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio.
